Global Hawk variants have flown more than 150,000 flight hours in support of antiterrorism, antipiracy, humanitarian assistance, disaster relief, airborne communications relay and information-sharing missions.

Lockheed Martin

Lockheed Martin's Fury drone is a hard to detect tactical and expeditionary drone. It can fly for over 15 hours at altitudes up to 15000 feet. It has the largest payload capacity among runway-independant drones.

BAE DEMON is an unmanned aircraft vehicle (UAV) designed to fly without using conventional 'flaps' (elevators or ailerons), using jet propelled blasts of air blown over the trailing edges of its wings to maneuver.  The demonstrator aircraft weighs 90kgs and has a wingspan of 2.5m.  BAE 'flapless' flight is designed to fly with no conventional elevators or ailerons.  It is getting its pitch and roll control from technologies which rely on blown air.  It requires much fewer moving parts, making it a lot easier to maintain and repair.
